Caribou – Northern Quebec
Our Outfitter can be found in the northeast Arctic regions of Quebec Canada just west of the Labrador border. The main base of operations is situated in the mining town of Schefferville Quebec. The caribou herd that migrates throughout the territory is the George River herd and numbers over 300,000 head. The world record Boone and Crockett caribou was taken out of this herd in 1949 and still stands today as the number one bull ever taken. From a population decline experienced in the 1980’s The George River herd is making a comeback and will be producing trophy racks for years to come.
